Thank you, Yining. Now I've got it. The schedules at HCI are so diverse that we see at major colleges in the US. At ours the students have such diverse curriculum when they get into the 3rd grade(2nd at JC at yours); half of the classes in a week are selective.
Anyway, you all are so busy with so packed a scheule every day. That's amazing! You four have to attend the classes on Mondays and Fridays for MOELC, so the lives you lead are beyond imagination!
Well, I guess everyone of us will be so shocked with the busy lifestyle at S'pore at first. But I myself take it easy since they are YOUNG. Young comes with flexible, in my opinion. My job at the first half will be just adjusting myself to the busy life at yours. Hehe.
Thanks again, young lady!

Hey! Just a quick answer to the questions posted...

How long the lessons are in HC? Each period is about 30 minutes, so each lessons would usually be 2 periods or more. A typical day would end around two three for people taking the average subject combination? But in my case, I have maths lessons till 6.30pm on monday and thursday and end around 2 plus every other day if i don't have cca.

for the Japanese lessons, it'll be till 7 plus at night? So that's really quite late...

As for the breaks, it will be either half an hour or an hour, and is usually around ten or eleven. There might be other larger breaks between lessons later.

As for me, well I would think Japanese students would chat with their friends and play sports after school! But they really are very busy and hardworking, having to cope with school work and cram school as well.

:) Oh, and thanks for appreciating the layout! I think it turned out really well

Ok thats all. Byebye

Thank you, Yining, for building here and inviting us all. Thank you, Lisa, for arranging. And thank you all for participating in this blog. Our second-round immersion programme is just around the corner. I really can't wait!
Well, I've got a question to ask: would you pls let us know the ordinary schedule of the day in HCI? What time does the first period start? What time does the lunch recess begin? That kind of things.
One more to ask you: what do you think Japanese students do after school? Chatting with their classmates, joining some sports activities, going out with people for window shopping, or whatever...
Anyway, as Mr Tashiro indicated, please feel free to come over to 山尾先生's BBS. Thank you.

PS: Can anybody find Ms Maki Yamaguchi thru e-mail?
PPS: Hey, Yining, this blog is cool. You're genius both in designing and in drowsing in a train!
